Tangerine Project
Greenwich, London, SE10This Coach House project was at the back garden of a Grade II listed property which was in a structurally unstable condition. N&N was approached by the architect Robert Birbeck to tender for demolishing, re-building, and complete fit out of the coach house.
During the demolition process our team undertook great care to temporarily reinforce the front façade of the property and erect the working platform to allow daily access to the mews. Reclaimed bricks and lime mortar were used to reconstruct the masonry wall and matching roof tiles applied. Slim line double glazed timber windows and doors, which were made to measure, ensured maximum use of the natural day light throughout the property.
The challenge was to make sure that every centimetre was turned into a clever, usable space. The design had to be worked out in accordance with the limited space and not only be exclusive, but also practical. To save space we installed an electric boiler with indirect cylinder and under floor heating.
The top floor of the coach house accommodated an open plan studio room with stylish kitchenette.
Southern Yellow Pine purlins, made to the architect’s detailed specifications, were left exposed to add style and a classy feel to the overall look. The ground floor accommodated a bespoke staircase, luxury shower room and a spacious garage with custom-made roller door. This modern coach house is a functional and unique place.
As an additional project, our client asked the N&N team to totally renovate the garden. With newly added flowerbeds, rustic pergolas, a stone bake pizza oven, and contemporary sandstone this garden became a stylish and enjoyable space. Throughout the project all materials were carefully considered, and the final finishes were created down to the finest specifications.
Peaches-and-cream Project
Mill Hill, London, NW7Our client approached N&N Building & Decorating Services Ltd requesting a full remodel and renovation of the newly purchased property, prior moving in, with the goal of simplicity and functionality for their new home.
We optimised the ground floor space by adding a full width rear extension to enlarge the existing living room, provide a separate playroom for the growing family and create an opulent dining room fit for royalty. Large glass windows and doors produce an elegant open, and light-filled look to the new extension.
Smart planning allowed us to achieve one of the client’s main dreams - to have a luxurious en-suite master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. Lavish, bespoke joinery offers plenty of storage space while pink pull handles give a touch of originality and colour. A grand four-piece en-suite bathroom benefits from a Japanese toilet, His & Hers vanity basins, modern bath, and a spacious walk-in shower.
During the renovation, the N&N team also completed fitting a ground floor guest cloakroom, stylish family bathroom and quality oak engineered wood floors. The existing property was refurbished with elegant doors, modern lighting and designer radiators which put the finishing touches on the project.
The face of the back garden was changed with raised patio area, finished in reclaimed York Stone, and made to measure iron railings. The soft landscaping has been completed with the new lawn, steppingstones, and colourful flowerbeds.
Finally, a generous new driveway makes a fitting grand introduction to this property and the curved design of the lawn edge adds a warm welcoming feeling to the new front garden.
This modern home is now transformed into a spacious, efficient yet cosy place to live in.
Morning Glory Project
East Finchley, London, N2The N&N team took special care on this project, as the first
plan was to demolish the existing conservatory, build a side and rear extension, and taking care of the fine details to give it our design touch. However, during the construction works we discovered damp and an insufficient floor slab under the old rear extension and therefore our team was required to demolish it and start over again.
The side and rear extension provided our client space for a comfortable kitchen and dining area, as well as separate utility room with an additional shower. The fitted kitchen in neutral colours contrasts with the rest of the decor, which is very
colourful and extravagant. The terracotta tiles were laid inside in a diagonal tiling pattern which flowed through onto the patio for a sense of continuity, bringing the outdoor vibes indoors.
The aluminium slim frame sliding doors in combination with the sky lights positioned above the kitchen, flood the room with plenty of natural light.
As we look at it from the outside the first thing that catches the eye is the cladding, lustrous golden-brown Siberian Larch boards have been geometrically arranged, giving the property a very sleek deluxe finish.
Perfection has been achieved by looking into every detail and chosen materials, in fact the property has been finished with the K-rend, wet underfloor heating, wood flooring and complete rewiring. The final copper interior design elements, like light fittings, bar stools, clock, kitchen tap, and worktop were carefully chosen to benefit the ultimate look of the décor. This exquisite attention to the
client necessities throughout the whole process meant that the N&N team delivered this project on time and to the very high standards that we always set ourselves to.
This marvellous house has become a utopia of modern aesthetics and practicality.
Bordeaux Project
Muswell Hill, London, N10This was an exciting project undertaken by N&N in Muswell Hill, North London. The team was tasked with designing and building a side extension, hip to gable loft conversion, complete refurbishment, and full landscaping. The brief, specified by the client, included an interior reconfiguration with the aim to achieve a modern, special layout and additional bedrooms to accommodate the whole family. Our architects quickly set to work and drew up the plans for permitted development and gained all necessary approvals to begin construction.
The single storey side extension on the ground floor allowed for an enlarged kitchen opening onto a patio, that led to the garden at the rear of the house, as well as a lavish utility room with ample storage. The large contemporary Patio Doors and sky light bring in much needed natural light while showing the attractive outside greenery.
The scope of work also included a loft conversion to transform the attic space into two extra en-suite double bedrooms. The proposal comprised the installation of a rear dormer and large roof lights to the front which bring through a great amount of light and open to a panoramic view over the roof tops of the neighbourhood and their incredible gardens.
The property was completely renovated outside as well as inside. A newly landscaped garden was created, the stunning result of which can be admired from the various sliding doors installed at the back.
The bespoke joinery items, as the oak staircase and the fitted wardrobe below, give an extra embellishing touch to this family home.
The white walls allow the wood flooring and original choice of vintage furniture to stand out nicely, leaving them as the protagonists of the scene.
This modern home is now an enjoyable, functional, and unique place to live with its zany touches.

Lemon Grass Project
Muswell Hill, London, N11The N&N Team were approached by the owners of this 2-storey family home to fully remodel and modernise their end of terrace house.
The project included constructing a side and rear extension and a loft conversion, which added over 400 ft2 to the property, as well as a complete refurbishment of the existing dwelling. The N&N team worked with the client every step of the way to ensure that every little detail and every finished article were just what they had imagined their dream home to be.
The side and rear extension provided additional space for an extravagant luxury kitchen which opens into a new family dining space, a grand utility room, a guest shower room as well as a spacious multipurpose room that could easily become a home office, a playroom, or a guest bedroom.
Our thoughtful attention to the final design details used throughout the ground floor made it feel like one unique complete space. The original parquet floor was carefully protected and revamped at the end of the project. With large skylights above, the kitchen, utility room and office are filled with light and rays of sunshine.
A luxurious loft conversion also made perfect use of unused space. A bespoke new staircase was designed and crafted to lead to an airy bedroom with four-piece en-suite bathroom. These room was enhanced by a Velux Cabrio balcony, revealing spectacular green views, as well as a vented roof light in the bathroom. Chevron engineered wood flooring adds a sleek finish to the new bedroom.

Flora Project
Blackheath, London, SE10The N&N Team were given a brief from the owners of this unique property to create an additional, contemporary, and practical family space in their three-storey house in Southeast London. The N&N Team were particularly proud to be taking part in the rear extension of this inspiring house, which was built on piled foundations, as the site was subject to the influence of mature trees.
Building an extension and reconfiguring some of the existing internal space provided our client with a perfect spot for a new open-plan kitchen and dining area, well thought-out utility room and additional cloak room. The dining area is further enhanced by a bespoke built-in sitting area with an integrated storage solution as well as an exposed brick wall which adds a welcoming touch. Trendy concrete tiles continuing through ultra slim sliding doors into the patio bring the outside in. To add to the uniqueness of this project, the structural beam has been left exposed and brought to life with an anthracite grey colour to match the rest of the interior design.
The Sedum Green Roof not only serves an aesthetic purpose by softening the look of the rooftop and blending it into the nature of the exotic garden, but also symbolizes the care for the environment. Two vast skylights flood the new extension with natural light and allow fabulous views of the daytime blue sky and the dark-starry nights.
Every element is carefully thought out and woven together by the N&N Team to create a special space which reflected our client’s personality and tastes.
Caribbean Green project
Greenwich, London, SE10The N&N team completed a full renovation on the interior of this four-storey Grade II listed property in Crooms Hill, Greenwich. The client was intent on keeping the spirit of the house alive whilst emphasising its features with modern touches.
Every feature of this house makes it endearing, from the walls which were entirely panelled and embellished with covens, to the original wooden floors that were saved and revamped to preserve the historic spirit of the house.
The two main bathrooms of the property are completed in totally opposite styles. The master bathroom has been completed with green panelled walls, traditional cornicing and reclaimed flooring. Adding to the vintage feel is a free-standing iron bath positioned in the middle of the room, a beautiful antique wooden vanity unit with His & Her wash hand basins and lastly, the fireplace, a symbol of the marvellousness of the property. The guest bathroom, in return, is modern and functional, with a concealed toilet cistern, a walk-in shower with a ceiling mounted shower head, where the blue wall tiles serve as a fine background to the white vintage-effect wall tiles chosen for the rest of the bathroom.
First thing you notice on entering the teenager’s bedroom is how well the priceless wood flooring combines with the modernity of the Royal Blue. Which not only covers the walls and ceiling but also on the bespoke dressing table, made to measure to perfectly match the rest of the décor.
The kitchen has a rustic feel, colours are warm and range from brown to black and the original beams have been exposed and brought to life with modern lighting. The entire basement has been transformed and became a warm yet functional space with wet underfloor heating below the lavish natural stone tiles and contemporary doors well integrated within the traditional elements. An imposing utility room designed with ample built-in storage and practical countertop space.
The N&N team with its broad, thoughtful vision and handcrafted design managed to bring the shine back to this home.
Coral Project
Marylebone, London, NW1The complete renovation of this four-storey family house was a very interesting project, requiring the re-design of the entire property layout.
The existing property space was completely stripped out and re-built, to deliver a more practical setup for the client.
We created a large eat-in kitchen, an open plan design for the reception room, making full use of the natural light, as well as a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and plenty of bespoke storage.
Two additional bedrooms, a family bathroom, an office-library, and a clock room were also created, all cleverly arranged so that every square metre of the property was maximised to its full potential.
The N&N team installed modern A/C units and a new electrical system to free up more space and add more fluidity to the interior design. In addition, the garden was renovated, and a large roof terrace added, finished with hard wood decking.
This property was turned into an efficient, modern, and spacious home for our clients’ growing family.
Quill Gray Project
Depford, London, SE8Our client approached N&N with the request to fully renovate a one bedroom rented apartment prior putting it back on the property market. The main brief for this project was to create a modern, bright, and functional design with a durable and long-lasting quality finish within the agreed budget. One other main point for our client was to complete the refurbishment on schedule.
The N&N team designed a new kitchen layout with an added breakfast bar to create an inclusive, welcoming open plan living space. We purposely avoided the use of the wall cabinets to give the impression of a larger room space and to maximise the natural light in the kitchen area. Integrated appliances provided a sleek and seamless final touch to our design.
The N&N team also had the vision to create a modern bathroom space. A wall-hung toilet with an integrated cistern and custom-made storage above, vanity unit, J-shaped shower bath and top-range tap were carefully selected to achieve the desired look and quality.
The horizontal block tile layout added a satisfying look for any perfectionist. The added bespoke built-in wardrobe provides plenty of storage for this one-bedroom apartment. The upgraded electric heated radiators and lighting will allow any tenant to enjoy their living in warm, bright, and modern home. A uniform colour scheme was used throughout the property to ensure it looked as one piece and every space is connected to each other.
The N&N team completed this project over a 5-week period and delivered a modern, luxury, upgraded apartment ready for renting exactly on time and to the very high standard we always set ourselves.
Summer Houses
Greater LondonA summer house has traditionally referred to a building or shelter used for relaxation in warm weather. This takes the form of a small, roofed building on the grounds of a larger one, often designed to provide cool shady places of relaxation or retreat from the summer heat. Summer house garden room, guest room, call it however you like and use it however you like.
The N&N team is here to ensure our clients receive the best in terms of quality, durability, and comfort. Having a garden room in the garden has endless potential for personality and character and will almost certainly create a focal point to complement your garden’s theme. It will also give you additional living and relaxation space, as well as storage space.
The options you can use a summer house for are infinite: the only limit is your creativity! You can turn it into an office, far away from the hustle and the bustle of everyday life of the main house. You will gain a calm place in a beautiful, natural garden that will enhance your motivation, fire up your creativity and enable concentrated work.
With well insulated and heated facilities you will gain a space with multiple use benefits: a guest room, a playroom for your kids, or simply a reading room, with your own personal library. And by adding soundproofing it can even become a music room to practice your trumpet or drum skills. Let's not talk about the huge storage space it also could bring.
For the more spoiled of us we can create your personal spa, with gym, jacuzzi, sauna and a lot more: we are sure you will never want to leave!
If you would like guidance in choosing the right design and creating your ideal, high-quality summer house the N&N team will be pleased to share their expertise and knowledge of what we can do to bring your dreams to life.
